Will McCallum is a Naarm/Melbourne-based documentary producer, writer and director who has spent much of his career producing short-duration factual video from a base in China and then Hong Kong. He produced and directed The Pioneers: ASEAN Women of 2018 for the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, which won the 2018 Asia Public Affairs Awards.

Will studied politics and Chinese at the University of Melbourne and earned a Masters of Journalism at the University of Hong Kong.
He is currently completing a PhD at the School of Communication and Creative Arts at Deakin University, Melbourne.    

Waŋgany Mala (2024) is his debut feature-length documentary.
